AGORA
about.
The Agora Dispatch was a community-driven media resource dedicated to Olympus, an online community. Serving as both an informational hub and a discussion platform, it featured a bi-weekly podcast and newsletter covering key topics, community updates, and in-depth discussions on issues relevant to its members.
The Dispatch was designed to amplify voices within the community, offering a space for interviews, debates, and curated insights. Through storytelling and analysis, it helped members stay informed and connected.
challenge.
The Agora Dispatch needed a simple and straightforward rebrand. While it had mad efforts to have a Greek theme, the old color scheme had poor contrast and didn't quite meet Agora's expectations as a brand. Part of the rebrand was redesigning graphic templates that were used to market the podcast and newsletter. Lastly, Agora wanted a brand book on which contributors to the podcast and newsletter could find cultural alignment as well as for designers to maintain consistency.
result.
First, we revamped the color scheme and typography, making the graphics more readable and aligning better with Greek aesthetics. We chose Arpona as modern serif for headings and Euclid Square for body for its readability. Additionally the colors were meant to mimic papyrus and Greek terracotta.
Second, we created an internal brand book for Agora. This helped contributors align on mission and vision as well as stay on brand for future designs and articles.
Lastly, we redesigned the template graphics using the new colors and typography to increase legibility and contrast.
